    Warm and gooey baked brie topped with an olive tapenade made with the California Ripe Olives makes for party appetizer!

    When the holidays fast approaching, it’s great to have some easy and impressive appetizers. Baked brie is an ideal go for the fast and delicious snack you can put together at the last minute—if unexpected guests arrive!

    What really puts this appetizer over to the top is an olive tapenade.you have the perfect topping for brie! Between California ripe olives and few simple ingredients. The slight herby/salty flavour from the olives is right at home with the grassy flavour of the brie. Trust us, this won’t last long on the buffet table.

    Because this baked brie takes just a little longer than the traditional baked brie recipes for this we suggest starting the recipe about 20-25  minutes before your guests arrive—then you can welcome them at the door with an warm bite to start the party!

    Serve this show-stealing appetizer with your favourite crackers or sliced and toasted baguette, and head out to enjoy the party yourself!

    METHOD:

    How to make baked brie puff pastry with olive tapenade recipe

    Step 1: Make the tapenade: Measure all of the ingredients for the tapenade into a food processor. All ingredients are well combined but are still a little bit chunky. Alternatively, if you do not own a food processor then chop the olives and herbs well and place it in a bowl along with the remaining ingredients.

    Step 2: Bake the brie: Preheat your oven to 350˚F. Place the wheel of the brie in an baking dish and spoon with the tapenade over to the top. Drizzle two tablespoons of olive oil on top. Transfer the dish to the oven and bake for 15 minutes. The brie should feel the soft, when pressed the olives should be warm. Be careful not to bake, so long that the brie loses it shape and melts.

    Step 3: Top and serve the brie: Finish the baked brie with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve with your favorite crackers or toasted bread.
